Summit Matsu industrial chillers provide cool fun 2009-06-30
SUMMIT Matsu Chilling Systems says its industrial chillers are being used in the Mick Doohan Motocoaster attraction at the Dreamworld Resort on the Gold Coast. The Mick Doohan Motocoaster is a Dreamworld roller coaster featuring life sized replicas of 500cc racing bikes, a 605m track, 18 extreme turns and a maximum speed of 72km/h. A key part of the rollercoaster is its hydraulic system, which is placed in high demand during its operation. Summit Matsu provided a chiller to cool the hydraulic oil in the system that drives the rollercoaster. According to the company, if the oil gets too hot, the ride cannot operate, so it was important for the chiller to be reliable. Summit Matsu says it manufactures all its chillers in Sydney, and it has the technical expertise which comes with manufacturing its own products.
