Solar cabinet dryers consist of a drying cabinet that has two main sections. One chamber heats air to circulate into the opposing chamber, which stores the food that is being heated by direct sunlight. Solar cabinets circulate air either by natural convective airflow or through circulation by electric blowers. The glass of the drying chamber has glazing, which increases the effectiveness of the dryer by increasing the rate of dehydration. Cabinet dryer are one of the simpler dryer models and are used for drying fruits, vegetables and other foods, says GEDA.
